Siliguri, 25th September: Dooars Forum For Social Reforms is set to organize Dooars Terai Maitri Cycle Rally on October 02 Gandhi Jayanti in demand for second bridge at Sevoke over Teesta River.
Addressing a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club, Chandan Ray, Secretary, Dooars Forum For Social Reforms said that the cycle rally will be organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The rally will reportedly kickstart from two places; one from Subhash More of Malbazar and reach Sevoke Coronation Bridge while the other will reach Sevoke Coronation Bridge from Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at Siliguri. Following this, both the rallies will form a human chain.
Ray further informed that the demand to declare the Sevoke Coronation Bridge as a heritage and tourist destination will be made.
