Bharat Vikas Parishad branch to be inaugurated in Siliguri

Siliguri, 21st November: A branch of the Bharat Vikas Parishad is scheduled to be inaugurated in Siliguri on Sunday. The Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), right-wing voluntary organization affiliated to Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, has been working across the country since 1963 to protect Indian culture.


The organization’s North Bengal Secretary, Kailash Kandoi said that the office has been set up in Siliguri’s Agrasen Road, which will be officially inaugurated in a private hotel on Sunday. He said that BVP strives to conduct as many social activities as possible and also caters to different needs of the people. 

Kandoi further added that the body is also considering to open branches of BVP in many more cities of North Bengal in the coming days.


Amid the pandemic, Bharat Vikas Parishad’s regional branches were seen distributing sanitizers and raising awareness about precautions to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. Distribution of ration among people was also done. Over the years, scholarship for students was also distributed by BVP’s regional branches.
