Bhaktinagar police solve mobile-snatching case within 24 hours, two arrested

Siliguri, 01st November: Incidents of snatch-thefts in the area under Bhaktinagar police station of Siliguri Metropolitan is becoming a menace. Due to such frequent occurrence of such incidents, the locals and residents of the area are worried about the security of the area.


The latest case has once again come to the fore from the Himachal Sarani area of ​​Haider Para under Bhakti Nagar police station. Reportedly on Monday, two bike-borne men allegedly snatched the mobile phone from the hands of a woman walking on the road in broad daylight and escaped. 

However, after the incident, the woman lodged a written complaint at the Bhakti Nagar police station. Acting promptly, the cops engaged in an investigation and arrested two miscreants within 24 hours. The alleged arrested miscreants have been identified as Subrata Dutta and Jeevan Roy, both residents of Ward No. 36. The police have also confiscated the bike used in the theft. The accused have been produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
