Siliguri, 10th July: Siliguri Bhaktinagar police are keeping strict surveillance in the city’s Ward No. 38, 39 and 43 since this morning. The move comes after a complete lockdown was imposed in 9 different wards of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) starting last evening, in light of the alarming coronavirus positive cases across the city.
During the drive, shops found disobeying lockdown protocols were immediately shut down and people out in the public areas without wearing mouth masks were quickly handed over ones by the police.
Furthermore, the Bhaktinagar police also held a discussion with municipality officials concerning putting up barricades in Ward No. 39.
