Bhaktinagar Police arrest four in house burglary case

Siliguri, 05th December: Bhaktinagar police station under Siliguri Metropolitan Police arrested four crooks connected to the burglary in a house. The accused have been identified as Samar Nagar resident Rahul alias Dacoit, Limbu Basti resident Arjun Thapa, Prakash Nagar resident Vikram Tamang and Ram Chandra Colony resident Basu Dev Prasad. Of these, Basu Dev Prasad is a gold merchant.


According to police sources, on December 01, the gang of thieves broke into a house in Bhanu Nagar area of ​​Siliguri Municipal Corporation Ward No. 43. A complaint was filed in this regard after which the police of Bhaktinagar police station, in plain attire, started investigating the case.

The police were successful in nabbing two accused on Thursday. They were immediately taken into remand and were thoroughly interrogated.


This was soon followed by the arrest of two more accused, including the gold shop owner, on the basis of information received from the formerly arrested. The police are investigating the entire case and are trying to recover all the stolen jewellery.
