Bengal assembly polls 2021: Independent candidate Nantu Paul lists Ashok Bhattacharya as his main rival

Siliguri, 22nd March: Nantu Paul, who will contest the election as an independent candidate from the Siliguri Assembly, is set to launch a massive campaign as soon as he gets his symbol.

During a press meet at his residence on Monday, Paul maintained that his manifesto will comprise plans for various development works in Siliguri. Listing Left candidate Ashok Bhattacharya as his main rival, Nantu Paul alleged that Siliguri assembly Trinamool candidate Omprakash Mishra has no proper idea regarding the city.

Incidentally, Nantu Paul had expressed his displeasure over Om Prakash Mishra being selected as Trinamool’s Siliguri assembly candidate. Following this, he quitted the party and decided to stand as an independent candidate.
