Rajganj, 25th June: Police from Belakoba Outpost conducted a raid against illicit country liquor manufacturing in the Futkipara area of Rajganj and recovered a large quantity of brewing materials.
According to reports, the operation was carried out on Thursday morning by personnel from Belakoba Outpost under Rajganj Police Station. During the raid, police found that illicit country liquor was being manufactured inside a house.
However, the accused allegedly fled through a nearby forested area behind the house after noticing the arrival of the police team.
During the search, police recovered around 50 kilograms of bakhar (yeast), approximately 50 litres of prepared country liquor, four aluminium pots, and two flannel cloths used in the brewing process.
Police also recovered nearly 1,000 litres of fermented wash stored in five plastic containers buried underground. Following legal procedures, the fermented wash was destroyed at the spot.
An investigation has been launched, and police have begun a search operation to trace the accused.
