Bangladeshi arrested by SSB from Panitanki

Kharibari, 04th January: A Bangladeshi, illegally traveling to Nepal, has been arrested by the Border Participation Team on the Panitanki BoP of the 41st Battalion of the SSB along the Indo-Nepal border. After initial interrogation, the arrested was handed over to the Kharibari Police station. The detained has been identified as Md Imran Hawaldar, a resident of Dhaka.


According to the information received from the SSB, a youth was stopped during a routine checking at the Panitanki BoP. Upon suspicion, he was intensively interrogated. During interrogation, the youth described himself as a resident of Bangladesh. He had no valid documents to travel to Nepal, after which, he was arrested. During interrogation, the accused arrested stated that he came from the Burimari border in Bangladesh to the Changrabandha border in India, with the help of a broker, and was on his way Panitanki in the Indo-Nepal border via Siliguri.
