Bagdogra Airport services likely to be suspended for resurfacing solitary runway

Bagdogra, 17th January: Flight traffic in Bagdogra airport is likely to be suspended for a fortnight in April this year for resurfacing the solitary runway.


Indian Air Force (IAF) had sent a letter to the executive director (operations) of the Airport Authority India (AAI), stating the closing of the Bagdogra Airport for a fortnight in April this year, “to undertake to resurface of the final layer of the flexible portion of the runway”. 

In the communication, the IAF has said that from April 26, the runway will be open for flights from 8 am to 5 pm till the completion of the work.
