Attack and attempt to rob an ambulance driver in Rajganj

Siliguri, 15th January: A case of an ambulance driver being attacked to rob has been surfaced from the area of Rajganj. Reportedly, on Saturday, the ambulance driver MD Hafiz Ali had gone to Dhupguri with a patient from a private hospital in Fulbari. At the same time, while returning to Siliguri, at night near Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital, three people asked Hafiz for help. Making an excuse of being ill, all three talked and asked him to drop them the NBMCH. After this, Hafiz agreed to help them and let the three sit in his ambulance.


 

Seeing the opportunity, the three miscreants stopped the vehicle on the deserted road and attacked Hafiz with a screwdriver and tried to rob him which seriously injured him in the said incident. But, acting promptly and cleverly he started shouting after seeing the police vehicle near Fatapukur. After which all the three miscreants fled from the spot. But, the three miscreants have been captured in the CCTV footage at Fatapukur toll plaza. 


 

On the other hand, a complaint has been registered at Rajganj police station. After which the police started the investigation.
