Assistant Superintendent of Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital tests positive

Jalpaiguri, 01st June: Assistant Superintendent of Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital tested positive for coronavirus.


The officer on special duty for COVID-19 in North Bengal Dr. Susanta Roy stated that on May 23, his swab test was done in a Truenat machine which came back negative. Following this, he returned to his Kolkata residence. However, his swab sample was also sent to North Bengal Medical College-Hospital (NBMCH) which came back positive.

Roy further stated that he has been asked to return to Jalpaiguri from Kolkata. Following which, he will be admitted to the Jalpaiguri COVID Hospital soon.
