Ashok Bhattacharya inaugurated the first phase of solar electrification programme

Siliguri, 09th February: Ashok Bhattacharya inaugurated the first phase of the solar electrification programme, on Tuesday.


It is to be noted that Siliguri Municipal Corporation has taken an initiative to save electricity by making use of solar energy. SMC is likely to bring Matrisadan, Kiran Chandra Bhawan, Suryasen Park, Rabindra Mancha, Vivekananda Mini Market, and Borough-IV Office under the solar electrification scheme.

Bhattacharya inaugurated the programme from Rabindra Mancha at Baghajatin Park today. He said that in the first phase, Matrisadan, Rabindra Mancha, and Vivekananda Mini Market will be brought under the Central Green City Mission project at a cost of 26 lakh rupees. He further said that the strategy will help save electricity as well as money.
