Siliguri, 14th October: With Durga Puja just around the corner, Siliguri Municipal Corporation BOA Chairman Ashok Bhattacharya held a virtual meeting along with the co-ordinators, on Wednesday.
Bhattacharya held the meeting to formulate ways for keeping the city healthy during the festive season, especially considering the current COVID situation in mind.
Bhattacharya maintained that this year, the puja pandals will be sanitized on behalf of the administration and various posters raising awareness concerning dengue and COVID-19 will be put up in the puja pandals. Besides, surveillance will be kept by SMC to ensure that masks are worn and social distance is maintained.
