Siliguri, 22nd July: Siliguri’s Ektiasal Tileswari Adhikari High School concluded its ‘Aranya Saptaha’ programme with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting environmental awareness among students.
Under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, students were encouraged to plant a sapling each. Following the initiative, all students planted trees, and an exhibition featuring the planted saplings was organised along the school corridor, attracting attention from visitors.
On the concluding day of ‘Aranya Saptaha’, a public awareness rally was also organised from the school premises, which passed through nearby areas before returning to the school.
According to the school authorities, various programmes and discussion sessions were organised with students throughout the seven-day celebration. The main objective was to create awareness among students about environmental conservation.
The initiative highlighted not only the importance of tree plantation but also the need for proper care and maintenance of the planted saplings.
