Alipurduar, 04th April: In a feat of rage, a man killed his son for constantly torturing him and his family members under the influence of alcohol. The chilling event surfaced from the 06th Mile area under Tapsikhata Gram Panchayat – Block 1 of Alipurduar district. The deceased has been identified as Mithun Das.
Allegedly, the son had been tormenting his parents for many years. On Sunday night at around 2 am, a usual argument broke out and as it escalated, Mithun’s father tied his son with a rope to calm him down. Despite this, the son continued to verbally abuse his parent. Unable to bear the abuse, his father snapped and beat Mithun to death.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and took the body into possession and sent it for post-mortem. The police have also arrested father Paresh Das for the murder of his son. Police are probing the whole matter.
