Siliguri, 17th March: In a unique demonstration by the All India Democratic Women’s Association Siliguri No. 2 Local Committee against the hike in the price of cooking gas, a public protest was held by lighting a stove on the road.
Members of AIDWA today protested against the hike in the price of domestic gas at Mahatma Gandhi More. Today, the protesters garlanded the gas cylinder and also cooked food on the stove.
During this, a huge police corps was present on the spot. All India Democratic Women’s Association Siliguri No. 2 Local Committee Secretary Tania Dey has warned of a massive agitation in the coming days if there is no reduction in the prices of domestic gas.
