Siliguri, 09th March: Ahead of the much-anticipated assembly elections, a variety of sweets are being sold across the city designed with symbols of political parties.
‘Political Sandeshs’ were spotted in a shop bearing symbols of different political parties including Congress, Trinamool, BJP, and Left Front. The sellers are hopeful that the sale will go high amidst the election atmosphere.
Pankaj Ghosh, a trader, said that the sweets have been priced at Rs 20 each. Before the election, 30 such sweets will be prepared every day. He further stated that apart from purchasing, many are also visiting the shop to catch a glimpse of the sweets.
