After petrol, now diesel hits a century mark

Cooch Behar, 23rd October: While petrol prices have already crossed the 100 mark, now the price of diesel has hit a century. Reportedly, the price of diesel in Cooch Behar has gone up to Rs 100.05 paise. 

Fuel rates have been increasing across the country and are not going to come down immediately. The central government is in talks with several oil-exporting countries on the issue of supply and demand of oils but there is no possibility of immediate relief in prices.

Meanwhile, the common people are facing problems due to the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. Drivers of goods transport trucks, passenger buses, autos and other vehicles have been particularly troubled by the rise in diesel prices. Apart from Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and some other districts of West Bengal, the price of diesel has crossed the century.
