Rajganj, 02nd July: Rajganj’s administrative officials stepped in to stop the wedding of a 17-year-old boy from the Sahudangi area of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block and a 14-year-old girl of the same village on Thursday night.
Acting on a tip, the Rajganj BDO NC Sherpa, OC of Ambari Outpost Sajal Roy and other administrative officials reached the venue and stopped the marriage. Both the families were made aware of their crime and were asked to sign a bond that will bar them from marrying their children until they come of age.
