Alipurduar, 19th October: Sensation prevailed after the body of an elderly woman was found hanging in the Netajipalli area of Hamiltonganj in Alipurduar district. The deceased has been identified as Methi Vishwakarma (84).
It has been learned that the family members sighted her body hanging from a noose inside the house on Tuesday morning and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the news, the Kalchini police reached the spot, recovered the body, and have started an investigation into the whole incident.
