Naxalbari, 19th June: Sensation prevailed after an 8-foot long python was sighted at the Singijhora tea garden.
According to sources, the laborers in the garden noticed the python and immediately informed the forest department. The Bagdogra Forest workers reached the spot shortly after and rescued the snake.
Samiran Raj, Ranger of Bagdogra Forest Department, stated that the reptile will be released into the forest after undergoing medical tests.
