Siliguri, 12th November: 78 –year old Chhaya Mitra donated 6 lakh rupees to Matrisangha Janakalyan Ashram for buying medical equipments.
Reportedly, Chaya Mitra was employed in the state food supply department and has now retired. Mitra stated that she, along with her husband, had carried out several social works in the past, however after the death of her husband, she is continuing such activities in his memory.
She paid 6 lakh rupees to Matrisangha Janakalyan Ashram to buy a cell counter machine for hemogram-related tests.
