6 houses, shops robbed in one night at Sarat Chandra Pally, Ward No. 40 – Haidar Para

Siliguri, 8th March: In the Sarat Chandra Pally area of ​​Haider Para under Bhaktinagar police station, 4 houses and a shop have been robbed in one night.


According to the information received, after committing burglary in 4 houses and 1 shop, the thieves headed to rob another shop. However, as the shop owner sensed something suspicious, the miscreants managed to escape the scene.

Twenty thousand rupees and cash money have been stolen from the shops of local Subal Paul and Jayanthi Sah. Apart from this, valuables worth lakhs got stolen from the residence of Pali Chakraborty, Haradhan Pal, Subroto Kar, and Mithun Pal. On the other hand, an e-rickshaw (Toto) has also been stolen in front of the house of Gopal Pal, who lives in the same area.


Local Madhuri Basak said that theft incidents have increased a lot in the last few days. Despite informing the police administration in this regard, no appropriate steps have been taken so far.

At the same time, shop owner Shubham Pal stated that the thieves broke into their shop. As soon as he called for help, the thieves managed to escape the scene. After the news of the incident came to light, the locals started looking for the thieves. Meanwhile, a member of the gang, who was hiding in the bathroom of a local, was caught red-handed and handed over to the police.
