Rajganj, 09th October: Sensation prevailed after the body of a 40-year-old man was found hanging from a noose in the Joynagar Colony of Purba Dharmatala under Fulbari No-2 Gram Panchayat in Rajganj Block. The deceased has been identified as Swapan Banik.
As per the report, on Friday morning, the family members found his lifeless body hanging in the prayer room of their residence. According to family sources, Banik was suffering from mental depression for the past several days due to family unrest and debt.
Upon receiving the news, the NJP Police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
