Alipurduar, 17th June: In a disheartening incident, 30-year-old Mithun Sarkar lost his life during his visit to his in-laws’ house on the occasion of Jamai Shasti. The incident surfaced from the South Deogaon area in Falakata block. The deceased was a resident of the Khagrabari area under Maynaguri block.
It has been learned that it was Mithun’s first Jamai Shasti celebrations. He developed stomach aches after eating his dinner. Upon feeling sick once again on Thursday morning, he was rushed to Falakata Super Speciality Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. The body will be sent for an autopsy. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
