2nd Under 14 T-20 Knock Out Cricket Tournament underway in Siliguri

Siliguri, 28th December: The 2nd Annual Under 14 T-20 Knock Out Cricket Tournament was underway at Kundupukur ground of Ward No.38 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) under the initiative of Sukanta Nagar Sukanta Sporting Club.


According to reports, on Thursday, the fourth quarter-final match was held. Earlier, the tournament was officially inaugurated on December 23 at the said ground. The event witnessed the active participation of 16 teams from several districts of the state including Purulia, Malda, Berhampore, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, and Birpara.

On this day, Ashrampara Agragami Sangha and YMA Berhampore competed with each other. The team of YMA Berhampore won the toss and chose to bat. Significantly, they set a target of 127 runs for 10 wickets in 20 overs. In the second half, Ashrampara Agragami Sangha won the match by scoring 130 runs for 4 wickets in 19 overs.


Speaking at the event, Secretary of Sukanta Sporting Club Joybrata Sanyal stated that Under 14 players arrived from different districts of West Bengal and participated in the tournament. He added that the final match will be held on December 31.
