The second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive kickstarted in India from today. The drive intends to cover 10 crore people across the country beginning with those above the age of 60 years and individuals above the age of 45 years with comorbidities that make them more vulnerable to the virus.
Eligible citizens are required to register on the Co-Win2.0 portal (https://cowin.gov.in) to get the timeslot for vaccination at the nearest vaccination centre. Citizens can also register using the Arogya Setu app.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the first dose of vaccine at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today. With 15,510 fresh cases, India’s COVID-19 tally has climbed to 1,11,12,241, while the number of recoveries has surged to 1,07,86,457.
