Siliguri, 05th March: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced the list of candidates for the 2021 assembly elections. The list includes a number of eye-catching stars, musicians as well as people from different walks of life.
Om Prakash Mishra will be contesting from Siliguri assembly, Goutam Deb from Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency, and Nalini Ranjan Roy from Matigara-Naxalbari as the Trinamool candidates.
The announcement of Omprakash Mishra’s name caused discontent among the district Trinamool Congress as many wanted a local leader to contest this assembly election. However, the party claimed that whoever the candidate is, their aim is to make him win.
Trinamool Darjeeling district president Ranjan Sarkar, Yuva Trinamool president Kuntal Roy, and other district leaders said that they will launch a massive campaign to promote Mishra. Besides, the TMC leaders are hopeful that all other candidates will win in other constituencies as well.
