Rajganj, 05th August: A road accident occurred in Dasdarga area, Jalpaiguri, when a speeding 14-wheeler trailer lost control and veered from one lane to another, crashing into the market area. Fortunately, people present in the vicinity narrowly escaped the incident.
According to reports, the accident took place around 11 am on Saturday while the trailer was en route from Siliguri to Jalpaiguri. It suddenly lost control and crashed into roadside shops. The trailer came to a halt after colliding with an electric pole along the national highway. Miraculously, the people inside the shops managed to evade harm during the incident. However, the trailer driver sustained injuries in the crash.
Local authorities rescued the injured driver and rushing him to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital for medical treatment. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
