Siliguri, 26th May: The 124th birth anniversary of the revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was commemorated today through a program held at Nazrul Sarani in Siliguri. The occasion was marked by paying tribute to the poet through the ceremonial garlanding of his statue.
Reportedly, the program witnessed the presence of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Deputy Mayor, Ranjan Sarkar, Mayor-Council Manik Dey, Borough Chairman Mohammad Alam, Councilor Basudeb Ghosh, Mayor-Council Shobha Subba, and other councillors of various wards and officials.
