12-kg catfish caught in Mahananda River at Fulbari

Fulbari, 25th June: A 12-kilogram catfish was caught in the Mahananda River in Fulbari, drawing the attention of local residents and creating excitement in the area.

According to reports, Ratiya Roy, a resident of Jugibhita Jhorapara under Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat, had gone to the river early on Thursday morning for fishing, as part of his daily routine.

While pulling in his net, Roy felt an unusual heaviness and initially assumed that a large log had become entangled in it.
