Raiganj, 20th March: The Ambari Police arrested a youth on charges of harassing a policewoman in the Bandhu Nagar area of Raiganj, on Friday morning.
According to the information received, the woman was travelling through the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway towards the Bandhu Nagar bus stand, today morning, when a youth, on a motorcycle, stopped her and started misbehaving with her. The woman immediately informed her brother about the incident.
Upon receiving the news, the woman’s brother and many other people gathered on the spot. The youth, on the motorcycle, was then beaten by the mass. The Ambari Police reached the spot and detained the youth.
