Siliguri, 21st August: A youth has been arrested with a huge quantity of drugs and narcotics substances during a joint operation launched by SOG and Matigara Police. The alleged youth has been identified as Jayato Das, a resident of Nadia.
According to police sources, Jayato had come to Siliguri from Nadia to deliver 408 grams of brown sugar. On receiving a tip-off, the SOG team along with Matigara police conducted a joint operation and arrested the said youth.
Jayato Das had come to the Vishwas Colony of Matigara with drugs in his possession from Nadia to deliver to a person. Thus, he was roaming around the city which ultimately led to his arrest. Today, the alleged accused has been produced before the court.
