Siliguri, 09th September: Bhakti Nagar Police have arrested a youth who allegedly came to Siliguri from Sikkim to purchase banned cough syrup. The accused has been identified as Kunzang Tsoyang Lepcha. Police recovered 50 bottles of banned cough syrup from his bag.
According to police, the accused was staying at his friend’s apartment on ISKCON Temple Road in Siliguri. Based on information received by police, officers conducted a raid at the apartment and searched his belongings and bag.
During the search, police recovered the banned cough syrup, following which Lepcha was arrested and brought to Bhakti Nagar Police Station.
