Siliguri, 09th September: ABVP has alleged that its members are being subjected to “Red terror” at various educational institutions across the state, including Jadavpur University and Jalpaiguri’s AC College and Law College.
The organisation alleged that in Siliguri, some SFI members mentally harassed and allegedly molested a female ABVP student. The allegation has led to strong resentment among ABVP members.
Demanding strict punishment for those accused, ABVP Siliguri staged a protest outside Siliguri Police Station on Wednesday. The organisation’s members also filed an FIR at the police station over the alleged incident.
The ABVP alleged that political violence and harassment of students at educational institutions cannot be tolerated and demanded a prompt investigation and strict legal action against those accused.
