Women take out rally in Siliguri after receiving ₹3,000 under Annapurna Yojana

Siliguri, 07th September: Women from Ward No. 24 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation took out a rally to express their gratitude to Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari after receiving financial assistance of ₹3,000 under the Annapurna Yojana.

The women gathered to celebrate the receipt of ₹3,000 credited to their bank accounts under the scheme. The rally was marked by enthusiasm and festive spirit, with the participants taking to the streets amid the beating of dhaks.

Several women said the financial assistance has provided significant support to their households and would help them meet their day-to-day needs. Expressing their happiness over receiving the funds, they joined the rally as a gesture of appreciation.

Prasenjit Paul, Coordinator of Ward No. 24, said he had personally visited the homes of women in the ward to speak with them and check whether the Annapurna Yojana funds had been credited to their accounts.

According to Paul, many women confirmed that they had received the financial assistance, while the funds were yet to be credited to some beneficiaries. Those who had received the money participated in the rally to celebrate the development and share their happiness with others.
