Siliguri, 05th September: Matigara Police arrested a youth for allegedly stealing a tablet shortly after being released from jail. The arrested accused has been identified as Pijush Saha.. Police arrested him during a late-night operation in the Vishwas Colony area on Friday and recovered the stolen tablet.
According to information, a tablet was stolen from a house in Khudiram Pally on September 2. Following the theft, a complaint was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint, Matigara Police launched an investigation and subsequently arrested the accused.
According to police sources, Pijush had previously been arrested in connection with a mobile phone theft case and had spent around 16 days in jail. Police allege that he committed another theft shortly after being released.
The arrested accused was produced before the Siliguri court on Saturday.
