Within 24 hours, Yasin Ali received free medical services under the state’s Swasthya Sathi scheme

Siliguri, 26th December: Within 24 hours, the 22-year-old Yasin Ali received medical services under the state’s Swasthya Sathi scheme.

Reportedly, Yasin Ali, a resident of Shantipara, lost his right hand after meeting with a train accident on December 18. He was later admitted to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. After undergoing treatment for a few days, the doctors referred him to Kolkata. Due to the family’s poor financial condition, they contacted the Jalpaimore Ganesh Puja committee.

Within 24 hours of applying for the Swasthya Sathi scheme, Rajganj’s BDO prepared the Swasthya Sathi card with the assistance of the committee as well as the Trinamool Yuva Congress.

Yasin’s father, Mohammad Abu Talim, who was in a private hospital in Fulbari on Saturday, highly praised the initiative taken by the state government.

On the other hand, Kuntal Roy, president of Darjeeling District Trinamool Yuva Congress, said that the state’s Swasthya Sathi scheme is for the common people of the state. Everyone under the project will receive free medical services.
