Siliguri, 10th April: In light of the nation-wide lockdown, Ward No. 18 Councilor Nikhil Sahani distributed ration among one thousand poor people following the government guidelines.
It was reported that 90% population of the area falls under the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category. Therefore, such an initiative has been taken.
Several people were spotted collecting free ration maintaining social distance (a minimum of 1 m). Councilor Nikhil Sahani and other members were present during the event.
