Siliguri, 19th September: On Sunday night, a body of an unidentified elderly woman was recovered near the railway track of Darjeeling More under Pradhan Nagar police station jurisdiction of Siliguri.
The locals spotted the said elderly woman lying unconscious near the railway track. After this, they informed the police. On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and rescued the old lady, and sent her to the Siliguri District Hospital for first aid. However, on reaching the hospital the doctors declared the elderly woman brought dead.
Later the body was sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Police are probing the whole matter.
