Siliguri, 28th January: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) of Siliguri’s Ward No. 26 in association with Babupara Boys Club has organized a two-day short-pitch cricket tournament at the club grounds. Significantly, the event had commenced on Saturday.
According to reports, the event was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) by lighting the lamp earlier on Saturday. The Deputy Mayor was accompanied by Ward Councillor Sikta Dey Basu Roy. About 16 teams have lined up to compete at the event.
In addition to honouring the Man of the Match, the victorious team will be rewarded with Rs 22,222 while the runner-up team will receive a cash prize of Rs 14,444 along with a trophy.
