Siliguri, 20th June: Two people were arrested under the charge of robbery in Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 9. The arrested have been identified as Bittu Aggarwal and Maryam Khatoon. Shockingly, the arrested Bittu Aggarwal is Manish Aggarwal’s brother.
It is to recall, on June 18, Manish Aggarwal’s apartment in SP Mukherjee Road area of Ward No. 9 was robbed. Cash and gold jewellery worth about 20 lakh rupees were stolen from the house.
Acting promptly, the Khalpara Police launched an investigation based on Aggarwal’s complaint and arrested Bittu Aggarwal and Maryam Khatoon within just 24 hours from the incident.
Police recovered 75 thousand rupees cash and the valuables stolen from Manish Aggarwal’s apartment. The accused were produced in Siliguri court today.
