Phansidewa, 10th August: Two youths have been arrested in connection with the theft of a pickup van. The arrested have been identified as Shekhar Shah and Sheikh Firoz, residents of Nagrakata and Phansidewa.
Reportedly, on July 12, a pickup van was stolen from Jhamaklal Jote of Jalas Nizamtara area of Phansidewa block. After the incident, the owner of the pickup van lodged a complaint at the Phansidewa police station. Based on the complaint, the Phansidewa police arrested two youths along with the stolen pickup van from Nagrakata in Alipurduar district on Tuesday night. Both the arrested were produced in the Siliguri court today.
