Rajganj, 16th December: Tragic road accident claimed the life of a scooter rider in the Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College More area.
As per the locals, the said scooter rider was coming from Jalpaiguri towards Siliguri when the scooter lost control and entered a lorry in front. Due to this, the scooter rider got hit by the rear wheel of the said lorry.
On the other hand, Jalpaiguri traffic and Kotwali police and fire department reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received. The lorry has been seized but the driver fled on the spot. The police have started investigating the entire incident.
