Siliguri, 11th August: Former Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya took a jibe at Trinamool Congress leaders and accused them of hiding their crimes by making false accusations against him in a press conference.
TMC leaders held a press conference last Wednesday and accused CPI(M) leaders of possessing illegal assets. They also accused Ashok Bhattacharya of crimes. In regard to this, Bhattacharya retaliated against TMC leaders by holding a press conference. He stated that he has no such assets in Kolkata other than his ancestral property and rented government accommodation.
He further alleged that TMC leaders are unnecessarily accusing him of such crimes in order to hide theirs. He also said that if they want law to investigate him they can further go ahead and do so. He claimed that truth will prevail and reality will be answered through legal means.
