Siliguri, 19th April: Trinamool Congress (TMC) protested by surrounding BJP MLA Shikha Chatterjee. Meanwhile, the BJP MLA has accused the TMC of addressing her as an outsider. However, the TMC has refuted the allegations.
As per reports, the TMC protested by surrounding Sikha Chatterjee at Booth No. 301 of Dabgram Dakshin Dhantala. Earlier, the BJP alleged that a TMC worker was attempting to influence the voters at the said booth. The move was opposed by MLA Sikha Chatterjee.
During this, TMC workers allegedly surrounded the MLA and accused the MLA of creating unrest. After the incident, a dispute emerged between the two parties. Later, the situation was normalized after police intervention.
