Siliguri, 15th August: NJP Police arrested three youths with firearms. The accused have been identified as Mohammad Raja, Pintu Roy, and Raja Das.
Reportedly on Sunday, some youths had gathered at the South Colony Railway Ground. Based on a tip-off, the undercover cops of NJP police station visited the said area. But as soon as the police arrived, many youths fled from the spot. Nonetheless, the police caught three members of the group.
Upon searching, a locally-made pistol and one round of cartridges were recovered from their possession. The three accused have been produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
