Cooch Behar, 29th March: A horrifying mishap unfolded late at night in the Ranirhat Bazar of Tufanganj where three shops were burnt down to ashes.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the late hours on Thursday night. Upon receiving the news, the officials of the Tufanganj police station and the fire department rushed to the scene.
After several hours of valiant efforts, the raging inferno was brought under control. The incident resulted in an overall damage of worth about Rs 50 lakhs.
