Siliguri, 13th March: Panic ensued on Sunday after a leopard attack injured three in the Simulbari area of Sukna Gram Panchayat. The injured have been identified as Ratanm Nagesia, Dheeraj Nagesia, and Shivraj Nagesia.
Reportedly, on Sunday evening three people were returning home from the farm as usual when suddenly a leopard came out from the forest and attacked them. The deadly attack seriously injured the said three people. Locals reached the spot after hearing the cries for help after which the leopard ran away. The three injured were rushed to the hospital after the incident and after receiving first-aid were referred to Siliguri District Hospital. Presently, the three injured are being treated at the hospital.
The incident has caused a stir and panic atmosphere. The locals and residents fear and avoid coming out of the house unnecessarily.
