Siliguri, 08th February: A shocking incident of theft unfolded on Wednesday night where the thieves broke into a hardware shop located in the Eastern Bypass area by cutting out the tin roof and made off with valuables worth thousands of rupees.
According to reports, the incident came to light on Thursday morning when the shop owner arrived at the store with the staff to resume business. The matter was immediately informed at the Ashighar Outpost and the officials initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the thieves executed the theft after breaking and subsequently entering the hardware shop by cutting the tin roof. In addition, the thieves stole the CCTV along with the DVR and some valuables along with money from the cash box. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
